Its gentle colours suit both white and pink spring flowers, creating a soft effect in the border. The bulbs need winter cold to grow well in spring. In mild autumn weather, you can wait a little longer; planting is possible as long as the ground is not frozen.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePlant the bulbs around 10 cm deep and about 15 cm apart, with the pointed end facing upwards. If the ground becomes wet easily, improve drainage with compost or some coarser material.
