History of the Stins family

The Stins family has been selling flower bulbs, seeds, perennials and vegetable plants at markets since the beginning of the last century, from its home in Langedijk, North Holland. What began as a small stall has grown into a thriving family business, with a love of plants and nature passed down through the generations.

Today, members of the Stins family attend markets and fairs throughout Europe. One branch travels to Denmark, Germany, England, Ireland, Finland, Austria, the Czech Republic and Sweden, among other countries. Another is active in Italy and Switzerland. This is how we share our passion for flower bulbs far beyond the Netherlands.

Bloemoloog was founded by Lieuwe Stins, who focuses on growing and selling organic flower bulbs at markets and fairs in the Netherlands and Belgium. Since 2023, we have also grown our own organic snowdrops, with care for the soil, bees and biodiversity. Through our webshop, we proudly supply customers throughout the EU and Switzerland.

Whether you visit us at a market or order online, you take home a little of our family history, craftsmanship and love of sustainable flowering.

Our philosophy is that what you put in the ground should contribute to a better planet; Besides the fact that flowers are a beauty to the eye, they contribute to a habitat for insects such as butterflies and bees. In this way we can contribute to a healthy eco-system on our planet with sufficient bio-diversity.
