A garden full of organic spring flowers

First the low tulips, then large red and salmon-pink flowers, followed by ornamental alliums: Complete Spring Garden provides a varied selection for your border in one pack. It contains 121 organic bulbs in 10 varieties. Blue Camassia adds a different flower shape among the tulips and round allium heads.

For €50, you receive €102.27 in individual retail value. This is calculated from the current individual packs in our webshop.

What is in Complete Spring Garden?

Tulipa ‘Salmon Impression’ 21 60 cm April – May
Tulipa ‘Red Impression’ 21 60 cm April – May
Tulipa ‘Red Beauty’ 20 15 cm March – April

The quantities are individual bulbs. The varieties flower at different times, so they will not all be in bloom together.

Arranging the flowers in your garden

Plant low-growing Tulipa saxatilis and ‘Red Beauty’ at the front or along a path. Place ‘Red Impression’ and ‘Salmon Impression’ in small groups a little further back. Distribute blue Camassia and alliums among perennials, giving their flower shapes space and allowing later foliage to surround the fading bulb leaves.

Botanical tulips provide early colour, followed by tall tulips in spring. Camassia and most alliums flower later, with ‘Ping Pong’ finishing the sequence. Exact flowering times depend on the weather and position.

Planting and care

Plant from October in sun or partial shade. Choose fertile soil with good drainage. Camassia prefers soil that does not dry out completely in spring; avoid prolonged standing water around all bulbs.

Plant small botanical tulips about 7 cm deep, tall tulips about 10 cm deep and larger allium and Camassia bulbs about 15 cm deep. Adjust for bulb size: two to three times the bulb's height is a useful guide. Allow about 7 cm between low tulips and 15–20 cm between larger varieties.

After flowering

Remove spent tall tulip flowers if you do not want seeds. Leave the foliage until it yellows naturally. Allium seed heads can remain as decoration. Botanical tulips, alliums and Camassia can spread in a suitable place; large tulips may flower less consistently in later years.
