The Lilium 'Maldano' is a pink OT lily, a cross between an Oriental and a trumpet lily, also called 'Oriënpet'. She gets about 3 to 10 flowers the size of a hand per flowerbulb. These grow on branches of a long plant stem on which many short, narrow leaves grow.

The beautiful large, fragrant and many flowers of a lily make it indispensable in the garden. An extremely strong summer bloomer that comes back every year. The flowerbulb of a lily is winter hard so can be planted immediately. The planting depth is 2 to 3 times the height of the flowerbulb and the planting distance is 2 to 3 times the width of the flowerbulb. The location is in partial shade or full sun. The best soil type for lilies is a well-drained and fertile soil. Lilies thrive best in a loose, humus-rich soil that retains sufficient moisture but is not too wet.

Cut out the spent flowers and let the plant die completely. Cut the dead plant down to the ground in the fall. She comes back every year faithfully. Provide annual nutrition for optimal results!
