Organic pink orienpet lilies

The Lilium 'Robina' is a pink OT lily, a cross between an Oriental and a trumpet lily, also called 'Orienpet'. Per flower bulb she gets about 3 to 10 flowers the size of a hand. These grow on branches of a long plant stem on which many short narrow leaves grow. They bloom in the period July to September and remain green until winter.

The beautiful large, fragrant and many flowers of a lily make it indispensable in the garden. A very strong summer bloomer that comes back every year. Bees love it and they smell wonderful! Plant them in groups in the garden or in pots for a beautiful effect. The lily is also very suitable as a cut flower in a vase. Incidentally, an oriental lily does not have as strong a scent as that of an Asiatic.

How, where and when do I plant lily flower bulbs?

The flower bulb of a lily is winter hardy so can be planted immediately. The planting depth is 2 to 3 times the height of the flower bulb and the planting distance is 2 to 3 times the width of the flower bulb. The location is in the semi-shade or in full sun. The best soil type for lilies is a well-drained and fertile soil. Lilies thrive best in a loose, humus-rich soil that retains sufficient moisture but is not too wet.

Care

Cut off the dead flowers and let the plant die completely. Cut the dead plant back to the ground in the fall. It will come back faithfully every year. Give annual nutrition for an optimal result!
