Organic white lily

The Lilium 'Tisento' is a white OT lily, a cross between an Oriental and a trumpet lily, also called 'Orienpet'. She gets about 3 to 10 flowers the size of a hand per flowerbulb. These grow on branches of a long plant stem on which many short, narrow leaves grow.

The beautiful large, fragrant and many flowers of a lily make it indispensable in the garden. An extremely strong summer bloomer that comes back every year. The bees love them and they smell wonderful! Plant them in groups in the garden or in pots for a beautiful effect. The lily is also very suitable as a cut flower in a vase. An Orienpet lily does not have as strong a scent as that of an Asian one.

How, where and when do I plant lily flowerbulbs?

The flowerbulb of a lily is winter hard so can be planted immediately. The planting depth is 2 to 3 times the height of the flowerbulb and the planting distance is 2 to 3 times the width of the flowerbulb. The location is in partial shade or full sun. Plant it in a nutrient-rich, water-permeable, preferably sandy soil.

Care of the lilies

Cut out the spent flowers and let the plant die completely. Cut the dead plant down to the ground in the fall. She returns faithfully every year. Provide annual nutrition for optimal results!
